I love all that is good in design and fresh ideas and the BMW GINA Light Visionary Model [view full site] is a fully functional, shape-shifting car with a fabric shell – an experimental concept to allow their R&D team to stretch their creative muscles in both form and function. This car is not meant to go on sale any time soon, but who knows what ideas gleaned may lead down the road – if anything its amazing how smooth and beautiful the fabric forms around the chassis – breathtaking!
With the thaw comes the chance to run outdoors – and its been since November so my pace was off but it felt so good to get back out there! Riding the bike indoors is good and all but I don’t get the same cardio workout as I do running – and even better was the scenic foggy effects lingering under your feet creating an almost dream like feel while running through the park.
I hope this thaw lasts for a bit and I can squeeze in a few more runs. Otherwise I might have to take a friends advice and invest in a treadmill.

Over the weekend I had a scare when it seemed like there was no coverage for the Tour this year, but then after a search online found that OLN (ie VS) is showing the tour every day and recapping at night at 8:00pm est. Though I’m not much into watching sports, the Tour de France is one of the few I watch year after year – and this year was a special one as the Prologue and 1st stage begain in London & Cantenbury.I love cycling and have been riding for as long as I could walk. I love the freedom and exhilration from peddaling down the lakeshore & speeding along the waterfront and really pushing your body and muscles to see how far you can go – nothing better on a sunny summer day for me!Links:Official 2007 Tour websiteGreat review site Steephill.tv
The weather this weekend finally hit 25 C which meant I could finally get back outdoors and enjoy the sun!
Since the bike was dropped off for a tune up, my weekend was left to begin the running season again, and thanks to the helpful staff at the Running Room in High Park, I got hooked up with a pair of sweet Nike Air Vomero – and after a long run today (ok walking and running) these shoes are the best ones I’ve worn yet with excellent support, comfort and cushioning that made me feel like I could run better and faster then before (well as long as the rest of my body catches up). The shoe are in the ‘neutral’ category, very light and feel nice and smooth with no pain in the legs ankles or anywhere else.
Of course after accidentally erasing my own running mixes during an iPod refresh (d’oh!), the mix de jour is the one of my fave groups – The Crystal Method – with an excellent 45 min running/workout mix – check it out. Eventually, I’ll be creating my own mixes, but for now let the running begin!
On Labour Day I was able to make it out the annual Canadian International Air Show down by Ontario Place, Toronto, with DV Camera in hand, and have put together a collection of videos on YouTube for all to enjoy … so enjoy!
