Jef Raskin & human interface design
Jef Raskin was one of the founders of the user interface as we know it today. He worked on the first Macintosh computer and helped usher in the way we use computers today – that is developing a working model of a GUI (graphical user interface).
He recently passed but his son has vowed to continue his work through his organization – more info is found here…

Calvin & Hobbes = Fight Club?
Ok this made me laugh when I read it, even though I never did see the movie – but I always was a Calvin & Hobbes fan. …
In the film Fight Club, the real name of the protagonist (Ed Norton’s character) is never revealed. Many believe the reason behind this anonymity is to give “Jack” more of an everyman quality. Do not be deceived. “Jack” is really Calvin from the comic strip Calvin and Hobbes. It’s true. Norton portrays the grown-up version of Calvin, while Brad Pitt plays his imaginary pal, Hobbes, reincarnated as Tyler Durden.
