I’ve had to wear glasses for years now ever since college. This weekend I picked up my newest set that followed my most recent eye exam earlier in the week.
A friend of mine jokingly asked ‘how many glasses do you actually have?!’ As it turns out, I have more then I realized! I’ve kept them all since the first pair (pictured from oldest at the top) and its interesting to see the style choice changes over the years, especially this year where I totally broke out of the ’safe’ designs and went for a much more bold, stylish & fun glasses & sunglasses and I couldn’t be happier!
For work, I chose a bold, fun & funky frame from Salvatore Ferragamo (bottom left) which have a unique brush-stroke type of pattern to them called ‘horn’. These I feel really bring out the inner artist/geek who dares to be different & funky and ready to show off my more creative fun side.
For play, I went for wrap-around Ray-Ban sunglasses (bottom right) that are completely awesome for running and cycling while still stylish enough to wear when I’m out on the town. The lenses are polarized offering an incredible experience when wearing them – everything has much greater depth perception, higher contrast, richer colours and even brighter details!
It’s so worth the investment for both new pairs that make me see and be seen all the better!
I found this strawberry tucked away within my pint of Ontario Strawberries I picked up earlier today – its a freakin’ mutant strawberry with like 6 small bumps – its like a popcorn kernal hooked up with a baseball glove in a strawberry patch and this was their lovechild! Cool

For today a little push to get moving …
‘Good enough’ just won’t be, well, good enough. You haven’t been making the most of your abilities, and while that may make life easy, it won’t make life rewarding. You want the world to have an accurate idea of how fabulous you are — don’t you? Or are you holding back because you don’t want people to expect more from you?
Besides conjuring up a surreal garden adventure with the likes of Gwen Stefani, the passage of time, or lack therof seems to proliferate all the more when you have so many things to do. Today, while getting stuck wondering around the mall waiting for new prescription to get completed it just hit me that its now near the end of June and half the year is already over yet I’ve only achieved a fraction of what I had set out to do at this point.
But instead of focusing on the negative, it has energized me with a new sense of motivation to get the ball rolling, the wheels and motion, nose to the grindstone, and any other cliché that need apply.
Gwen says, ‘Life is short you’re capable’ which is so true for anyone to accomplish anything when putting their mind and effort into it.
And as a good friend recently remined me, the best is yet to come. 
Argh! After being coffee free since mid October 2006, the oh so arousing aroma and lovely dance of sweet and bitter play on the senses with 116 miligrams of caffinated goodness topped with that frolicsome frothy foam finally became the better of me as I gave in to the urge and wholeheartedly enjoyed a Starbucks Grande Cappuccino.
And it went down sooooo goooood! Mmmmmmm….. *salivating*
This was on this past Tuesday … and then today, I had a second cup AT Second Cup (co-incedence I assure you) as I had to kill some time before getting a hair cut. And that was good too, but not as much as the first …. oh yes, you ALWAYS REMEMBER YOUR FIRST.
