Sheryl Crow & KT Tunstall – The Desirable Duo!
I had tagged along to see KT Tunstall open up for Sheryl Crow and expecting a mellow, ok kind of show BUT instead was pleasently surprised to see both of these talented ladies put on awesome performances with only a couple ‘pop ballads’ throughout the night – these women can rock live! Their voices sounded great and powerful and both know how to play guitar like nobody’s business.
While I enjoyed the familiar songs like ‘Other Side of the World’ from KT and ‘A Change Will Do You Good’ from Sheryl, it was the songs I had not heard before from each that surprised me like Sheryl Crow’s ‘Motivation’ that helped to keep me moving and warm through an otherwise very chilly night (ALL you weather people are SO FIRED!).
To sum up the night in two words – Absolute Awesome!
Note to Molson Amphitheatre people – you guys REALLY need to workout the parking issues – at $20 per car there is NO reason we should be stuck waiting over 30 minutes to LEAVE the lot and just idling away – pure bullshit, hire the staff and work it out! That alone would make me reconsider EVER seeing another show at this venue.
Subnote: Oddly enough, 2+6=8 – the power of eight continues yet again…

Amen to the parking situation…UGH!!!! I thought it interesting that radio stations are shying away
from playing Sheryl’s song “Out of our heads”. KT surprised me – she is very talented…especially
good on guitar. I’ve always looked up to Sheryl – a strong woman, great talent, leads a healthy lifestyle…and she’s
hot! lol.

And you didn’t take the TTC because … ?
Just askin’ since you two are big earth day people, save the planet blah blah blah. You know, walk across the ex, catch dufferin bus, walk across the ex, catch bathurst street car.
Dude. City people shouldn’t be driving to concerts in the city. Now us country folk. Well, if you wanna talk about entitlement …

…because its a work night, can’t get out early enough to catch the proper ride out there in time. It takes me, on average 1 HOUR to get to work or home everyday – unless there is a subway delay, bus doesn’t show up (frequently!) and I can take as long as 2 HOURS – that’s the time I could drive to Hamilton OR take the GO to Hamilton to Oshawa and back again!!! The TTC is lacking ALOT when it comes to time, and street cars crawl across the city and are very hard to schedule by – I’ve been late to meetings or appointments downtown not realizing how much slower a street car is compared to a bus or even a cab. But that’s a whole other rant for another day…
If the weather was a bit better and I had a good luck, hell I would BIKE it down there and back home – or as I’m sure YOU know, perhaps a VESPA would have come in handy?
